taxis.je was created to bring more transparency and clarity to taxi pricing in Jersey.
If you enter a taxi directly from an official taxi rank, the regulated Jersey rank tariff should apply.
Pre-booked and app-based journeys may use different pricing structures depending on the operator, booking method, minimum fare, availability and time of day.
If you are unsure which tariff is being used, it is always sensible to check with the driver before starting your journey.
Private hire and app-based taxi meters may display tariffs as A, B and C, which generally correspond to Jersey rank taxi Tariff 1, Tariff 2 and Tariff 3 respectively.
Public rank taxis should normally display Tariff 1, 2 or 3 on the meter.
Jersey’s official rank taxi tariffs have recently changed.
Some operators and taxi meters may still be transitioning to updated tariff settings, so company fare comparisons are currently indicative only and may change during the rollout period.

These are the published daytime pre-booked starting fares from the operator tariff cards. They are shown for comparison with the official Jersey rank tariff. Passenger charges shown below apply when the vehicle carries more than 4 passengers, usually from the 5th passenger onwards.
